Smart cover for senior travellers
Over 65? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Our TravelCare policy offers cover for travellers up to the age of 101 years. As with any traveller, it’s important to take out adequate travel insurance to protect you, and your family, if things go wrong.
Our age-friendly TravelCare plan offers a wide range of benefits to ensure you feel safe and secure in the knowledge that you’re covered when you travel overseas. These include:

What you need to know
Don’t leave your travel insurance to the last minute. Buy your policy as soon as you’ve booked your flight to ensure you are covered for any cancellations or unexpected illness before you travel.
It is a good idea to research your options and make sure you read the policy wording of any travel insurance policy before you purchase. If you have any questions, call the travel insurance company – they should be happy to help advise you.
At SCTI, we offer a 14-day free look period which means you have 14 days from the purchase date to obtain a full refund if you want to – for any reason. Please note that the free look period ends if you make a claim or when your travel dates commence.
What about pre-existing conditions?
When you apply for travel insurance with SCTI, you can seek cover for your pre-existing conditions by completing an online medical assessment. It’s easy to complete. All you need to do is follow the steps and enter each condition one at a time.
If you seek cover for pre-existing conditions, you must declare all your pre-existing conditions, so if you’re not sure about the name of one of your conditions, it is best to ask your doctor.
At the end of the medical assessment you will receive instant confirmation of which pre-existing conditions can be covered and how much it will cost. You can choose to accept cover and pay the additional premium, or you can chose to decline the cover which means you will not be covered for any claims, costs or losses under any section of the policy arising directly or indirectly from, related to or associated with these conditions.
If conditions have been excluded following our online medical assessment, there is no premium that can be paid to include cover for them on your policy. For more information about pre-existing conditions, please click here.
