The objectives of the Code are:

  4. to provide fair and effective mechanisms for resolving Complaints you make about us; and
  5. to promote continuous improvement of the general insurance industry through education and training.

The Code covers many aspects of our relationship with you, including buying insurance, making claims, resolving complaints and accessing information we may have about you.

The Code Governance Committee is the independent body that monitors and enforces insurers’ compliance with the General Insurance Code of Practice.
