- There is significant disruption to the regional and global air traffic network with cancellations and diversions. There is no indication of how long the disruption will last.
- Impacted countries include Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman, Lebanon, Türkiye, Iran and Israel.
- We advise all customers travelling in and around the area to stay up to date with the latest advice on Smartraveller from the Australian Government.
Updated: 13 March 2026
The Australian Government has advised that Australians currently in affected regions should consider returning home as soon as it is safe to do so, while commercial flight options remain available. This recommendation reflects the rapidly changing situation in parts of the Middle East and the potential for further disruption to airspace and airline operations. Travellers are encouraged to follow updates on Smartraveller and make decisions based on the most current government advice and their personal circumstances.
