For the second year running, Southern Cross Travel Insurance (SCTI) has jointly won the Travel Insurance category in the ProductReview Awards 2019.

The winners of the ProductReview Awards represent the most highly regarded and reliable purchasing choices available to Australian consumers.

The awards, which began in 2003, are judged independently by the ProductReview Editorial and Data team. To be eligible for an award, organisations must achieve a minimum 4.1 star rating from the ProductReview community.

SCTI has a ProductReview star rating of 4.7/5* from more than 2,400 online consumer reviews.

One of Australia’s biggest review websites, ProductReview achieves 4.5 million visitors per month and has close to 1.5 million online reviews.

Commenting on the award, SCTI CEO Chris White says his team is delighted to be crowned winner for the second year running and it’s testament to a focus on customer service.

“We pride ourselves on the excellent value of our comprehensive product offering and our outstanding customer service, so this is a great achievement,” he says.

“We are approaching our tenth year in operation in Australia and our goal remains consistent: to provide peace of mind to travellers, should the unexpected happen overseas.

“Our Emergency Assistance team operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, meaning someone is always on hand if our customers require assistance. We are also committed to providing up-to-the-minute travel advice through our website and newsletters.”

ProductReview Business Development Manager, Renee Xie, says customers praised SCTI for its transparency around fees and how the process of making a claim was easy.
