Pre-Existing Conditions
TravelCare is designed for unexpected costs while overseas.
Pre-Existing Conditions may not automatically be covered by your
TravelCare insurance.
What is a Pre-Existing Condition?
Find out what is a
pre-existing condition and if we can cover your
Pre-Existing condition for free. If you have one or more
of the Pre-Existing Conditions on our controlled conditions list,
you do not need to apply for cover, obtain a medical assessment or
pay any additional premium for these conditions.
How to apply for cover for Pre-Existing Conditions
You can apply for cover for a Pre-Existing Condition that we do
not automatically cover by declaring these during the application
process. You will be asked to complete a simple online medical
assessment. The results will be displayed to you before you decide
whether to proceed with the policy. An additional premium will
apply if we do offer cover. If you do not want to apply for cover
for a Pre-Existing Condition, you can opt to leave these excluded
during the application process.
General Exclusions for Pre-Existing Conditions
There are some medical conditions that we are unable to offer
cover for. Please refer to the general exclusions list for more
information.
